Project Brief
The Paige Group developed an integrated marketing and community outreach and information plan and provided ongoing support during a multi-year infrastructure improvement project resulting from the settlement of an enforcement action brought about by a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Consent Order. The order requires that Oneida County’s sewer system be brought into compliance with current state regulations.
The Paige Group provided specialized marketing/consultation services, including facilitation of steering committee and subcommittee meetings and preparation of meeting agendas, minutes and related reports. In addition, The Paige Group led the development and implementation of a public information and education program that included direct marketing, web-based marketing, public relations and media relations, and social media activities.
The OCSD project oversight process was recently recognized by the NYSDEC as a model in New York State. Thus far, all DEC Consent Order deadlines have been met and the 13-member municipality steering committee has reached consensus on critical strategies for funding and rate structure.
